Thank goodness! I found my Umfaan in my car, jammed next to the left side of the driver's seat.

Lost for two months, I missed it dearly everyday. I own a Small Decorated Sebenza, a CR One-Piece Aviator, a small Scott Cook Owyhee Hunter with giraffe bone scales, a Klotzi with G-10 scales, and an A.G. Russell AirWeight One-Hand with red micarta, but I loved my Umfaan best for it's convenient size and excellent blade.

When I thought it was lost forever, I didn't want to buy another one, risking losing another $300 knife, and this was my replacement for a stolen "zig-zag" Umfaan. I bought a small A.G. Russell One-Hand in ATS-34 that appoximated the Umfaan's size. Functionally, the One-Hand was close to the Umfaan but I missed the feel of the Umfaan. One gets acclimated to ultra-high quality until you compare it to just good quality.

The Umfaan has dropped out of my pocket before, so I'm going to loop the lanyard through my belt or belt loop whenever pocket carrying.

Absence made my heart grow fonder, and I'm going dress up my Umfaan a bit. A polished hollow ground, and a new decorated scale, if CRK is still supporting Umfaan's.

Nice! Always good to find something lost!!!

I remember the one knife I had, not expensive but unique small wharncliff blade with cocobolo scales, had it in my watch pocket and was out whacking tree branches with a large Tanto I had made, well as I trimmed those within my reach, I found I had to leap up to get more offending branches and as I leaped the small knife leaped out of my pocket and fell silently to the ground, unbeknownst to me! That night I tore the house apart, pants/coats/couches/chairs and beds, but didn't find it! Winter came, snow fell...heavy snow winter. Spring arrives, snow goes, mowing season hits, my wife, loves to mow the grass...;), came into the house, she was carrying the knife, she mowed the grass over it and the sun caught the handle and she saw it...WOW still in great shape and no rust after all winter! I was probably as happy as you with this inexpensive folder but I know the feeling!

Knife btw was a small wharncliff Rigid folder...
