Ive been going for Midtechs and Customs for a few years now and went away from my true favorite Production company yup your right Spyderco
with the exeption of the Southard. anyways! i figured that ive heard so much good stuff about the Gayle Bradley so why not pick one of those up, and i saw they had the original Manix 2 in stock so i took one of those too
i really dident expect much from these knives dont know why but i just dident.
Well i took the Manix out first and used her to cut out the GB out of the sealed bag. and yeah i where amazed how freaking sturdy the knife where! just a overall solid brick kinda feel, i kinda expected a more flimsy... i really dont know :S
Then i took the GB in hand and yup feels great that one too, altho i had to break her down and sand all the edges becouse they where a tad sharp in my book. after that little cure its a great knife
and cuts like a beast!
So Im gonna carry these 2 for a while and really go back in using production knives again, i really got good feelings about the Manix i really dig it!
Now to the funny part, Ofcourse i had to flip around with the Manix to get used to the lock, yup i freaking Guillotine my pinky with that fat blade! so the blade not only got to taste blood, it even got to feel bone. im a big balisong guy and i accually accuired a new balisong yesterday so ive had a few hours flipping and then i go and cut myself with a normal folder
when i think about it all my serious cuts have come from Spydercos
I dont have any pics of the knives but i guess i can add them if someone request it
kinda feels like everyone knows what they looks like being that old and such
