Hey guys, I was working today and i stopped to get gas at an old BP that i havent been to in years, Actually its about 3 miles from the store that i found the Schrade Walden case in, Any way i walk in a thats a schrade knife case one of the big one about 4 feet tall with Old timers in the top and Uncle henrys in the bottom and i started looking and there was about 8 old timers and about 6 or 7 uncle henrys THE GOOD ONES mixed in with the taylor junk. so i had to look and see how much money i had, $35.00 or so i had to buy something so i picked up a Schrade + 807UH $28.00 i think the prices are from before they went out of business. i can remember some of the other numbers, there was 167UH, 707UH, 285UH one or two other theres was some LB1, LB3, LB5, LB7, i cant remember many of the OTs 34OT i think 77OT cant remember. im going back tommorrow ill get all the numbers. And there were then one of each of the, some there were 3 or 4     :D :D :D :D

OK im done talking now Later DT

I could pick one up for you mountain if you want, im gonna get as much of the stock as i can, it might take me a little while but all try. DT

Alright guys... don't shoot me... I haven't a clue about those knives... but I am looking for one for my dad... NOT A COLLECTOR piece. Just a good slipjoint 3 or 4 blade pocket knife. IT WILL BE HIS EDC!!!! NOT to collect. Would it be wise to buy any of these knives to carry??? Or should they be left to the collectors???

Just a question.

Thanx,

DM

im going in there again tomorrow, ill have to see how many there are. if there are enought i might be able to hook you up waynorth. Im gonna write down all the numbers of the USA ones and see how many he has. hopefully he dosent jack up the price because he knows im interested in all of them. there might even be a couple 106OT in there too, in all my excitement i didnt remember all the numbers, but ill check in tomorrow about 1 or 2 PM to tell you whats there is if you like. DT

Why not offer to buy the WHOLE knife case and contents....but for goodness sakes appear nonchalant about it mate...you sound like a kid in a toyshop and in no position to bargain...just arrive with the trailer on the back of your car......ask to see the Taylor knives cos you've been told they are really good.......and then casually tell him you will take all the Taylor knives plus those other things for $? including the knife stand which will give him more room in his little old Station to display the oil bottles....us Aussies are the best in the business at this mate......just dont let him see your heart obviously pounding.......Good luck mate. Hoo Roo

DevilMan,
You need to decide which of the stockman types you want.
UH 897 or the 34OT or 8OT's can still be had and should be used as EDC's

According to the price lists I have they were offered for sale in 1991 through 1993. If course actual production times may vary. Not real common.

SORRY GUYS:eek: , the 707UH was a junky china knife, how disappointing. anyway i did pick up a Schrade + 167UH Fillet Knife. i have the numbers of the ones they have left, sorry i got the last 167UH :D. Ok theres 807UH, 33OT, 194UH, 5OT, 96OT, 885UH, 897UH, LB1, LB3, LB5, 285UH. so are any of these rare. DT

Sorry waynorth, the 707 was a bust. im thinking i might go get that 897UH, everybody is saying there great knives. someone snagged the LB7 lastnight or this morning, when i went in to get the 707 i noticed an empty spot, someone bought a very expensive LB7 i think it was 51.99  glad i found one in a odds and ends store for 20.00. OK well talk at you later DT

No sweat dragon. There's another 10 knives out there for every one that doesn't work out! Ever onward, the quest continues.

i was just trying to scan a pic of the 167UH and the 807UH i got but something wrong with the scan:thumbdn: oh well have to try again later, I really like this 167UH fillet knife, its making me want to go fishing just so i can use it, and it for sure sharp already takin a little skin off my finger :grumpy:. The 807UH is gonna be a good EDC. ok later guys DT
