My wife picked this up for my birthday a few weeks ago. I've been dropping hints about this knife for quite some time.

It's perfect for me.

It's an AG Russell Pocket Carver that someone here pointed me to when I was looking for a combination of a sheepsfoot and a spey blade. I've been carrying it now for only a few days and think I want to get a pouch for it so it'll sit upright in my pocket instead of falling horizontal.

It fits perfectly in my hand when holding it with the blade open on either end. IMO, it's a gorgeous knife, and, by far, the best slip joint knife I own.

Here's some pics - I know, I'm not a photographer.. :thumbdn:

Check 'em out :D

That one's a beauty for sure!

Those are one of my favorite knives in the AG Russell catalog these days.

That's a great knife. I'm real happy with the one I have.

Thanks for the kind words fellas. This is my first AG Russell knife and I'm sure it won't be the last.

The quality and feel of this knife are perfect for me and my budget.

That is real nice! I do like the shape.
Thanks for sharing.

Ouch! I've been wanting to pull the trigger on buying that one for quite a while! It's a beauty!!

Thats a beauty. It looks like it really does fit the hand well..
What are the dimensions and what kind of steel are the blades ?
I like the bar style shield and the bolsters.

Glad you like the knife dude. I look forward to a review when you have gotten to know it more. Enjoy that knife.

God Bless

Blade steel is 144CR-MO
Blade lengths are 2 7/16 and 2 1/4 "
Close length 3 3/4"
3.7 oz

The handle is white tail antler. They have a model in Briarwood, but I'm a fan of antler. I also like the bar as opposed to a shield on this particular knife.

It got plenty of use opening boxes during Christmas :)

I'll give it some time and post a review after a few months of use. I'm very interested to see how it holds up.

It's very hard to kick my Case Canoe out of my pocket though. :(

Really is a nice pocket friendly looking folder. A.G.'s knives are always of high quality so I think you chose well.

Thanks.

Also, the nail knick is very user friendly. It's super easy to pull the blade with your nail and your nail feels very secure when pulling the blade.

Very nice knife man. I love the cutout in the scale on one side. And the stag looks amazing.

Me coming from a Spyderco background and all I love the finger choil on that knife too.

Great snag.
