I found this vintage hatchet head and I'm wondering if it can be saved?

This head cleaned up well, but when I was doing a test fit on a haft I noticed these cracks. Do I pitch the head, see if I can get it welded somewhere cheap, or hang it and hope for the best?

Not uncommon and I have never seen an axe fail because of them. Ignore it.

Cracks. They get a tad wider when the handle is inserted with force.

I'd suggest welding the wider one.
