After doing a little bit of research on the GEC #66. I found that there was a SFO by the Knife Connection with scales of Desert Ironwood that I really liked. Wouldn’t you know it Mr Randy Redden puts one up for sale and I couldn’t type fast enough to ask about it. I immediately bought it. I received it today and couldn’t be more happy with it. I now get what the GEC following is about. It’s a great representation of what I think a Stockman is supposed to be, even though it’s called a Calf Roper.

Love mine to. I’ll be flying to a visit a friend today with carry-on luggage only, and it hurts me that I cannot bring it..

The true EDC experiment. Closing to year now. Only times I don’t carry mine is either on outdoors or like now on train trip when carrying a multitool.

#66 is the only GEC I own right now. I like carrying a 3 blade stockman during the work week as my backup, small task knife. Usually that meant the Case Bose Cattle Knife but I recently added a #66.....again and have carried it everyday since. Canvas micarta for ultimate durability for me! Enjoy your new #66!

My 66 Bullwinkle J Moose in Gabon ebony was one of my first GEC knives and I still carry it often. I also have an ebony Calf Roper from the last run. The #66 is a great platform, one of my favorites.

I carried my #66 for the last few days while camping in Joshua Tree. It is a nice companion knife, hides in the pocket, and accomplished every task.
