I've been lusting after Cold Steels Ozark Hunter for some time now, and have finally given up. Cold Steel stopped making them, some knife shops doubt if Cold Steel ever sent these knives to the mainstream market. Can't find any on eBay. Several here have suggested the Remington bullet knife. I've seen several of them, any other options for a knife with the basic classic Remington bullet knife design? I want something similar to the Ozark Hunter, I saw an ad for a Schatt and Morgan that looked exactly like what I wanted, but if I can find something cheaper ;). How about Queen Cutlery? Looking for something in the classic design, hell, any makers out there sell knives in the classic design of the Remington bullet knife?

BTW, I saw some in the Exchange recently with stag handles, I'm looking for something with wood, delrin or micarta handles.

I looked for this knife myself and have never seen it for sale anywhere, doesn't look like they were ever distributed, maybe not even made. Anyways, if you are looking for something classic in carbon steel, get on ebay and start bidding on some Schrade 125OT's. Just my opinion, but out of the "big" Schrade folders, its the best one for all around use. Its equally at home in the field, on the job, or in the backyard. A used one in good condition can be had for less than what they were asking for the CS, NIB ones will get a premium these days.

For a single blade lockback "bullet" pattern like the R1306, try the Queen "Mountain Man".....D2 blade steel, in carved stag bone or cocobolo handles.....about $60 from Cumberland Knife Works.

Lots of reviews and kudos for this pattern at the Queen forum on the "other" site.
