Thank you Ethan Becker for so many amazing knives. :)

So I got a couple new Beckers.The BK24 and BK5.

I have barley had a chance to use the Bk5 but that will change very soon. This Becker showed up amazingly sharp with perfectly even grind lines. I finally got one sharpened by the shop pro. Its a beauty.

It feels so nimble and just so damn sharp. I feel like I could circumcise an insect flying by.

I shouldn't have waited so long to get this one but at least I got it before they are gone.

I have only had it for a few days so I dont have many pictures yet but wow, this blade photographs like a fast car or a pretty girl...oh the curves!

BK5 and one of my favorite books. The joy of cooking.

I think this picture came out pretty neat. I didn't edit this. It came off the camera this way. Just a neat effect from the sunlight reflecting. Its like the blade is disappearing.

And the BK24. Boy do I love this knife. I have carried my BK14 almost every single day for the last 5 years. I have been putting off the Bk24..Wondering...Is it really worth the extra $25 for D2 steel?

I have never had D2 before and I am impressed. Its incredibly sharp. Hair shaving, paper slicing sharp. And after a week of using it, its just as sharp.

I guarantee I would have wanted to sharpen my BK14 by now. The 24 feels just as amazingly sharp as the day I pulled it from the box. EDC use, feather sticks for a couple fires, cutting food and chopping off a couple 1 inch branches of hardwood and its just as sharp. Hasn't even scratched the blade yet.

I am believer in D2. Its worth the extra money. Now I want to get a back up before they are gone.

So this is it right out of the box. This is my first time getting one of the new sheaths with the lock on it. I dont like the size of the factory sheath. Too big and bulky for a knife this size. I wont be using it. But the lock is a great improvement. I like it.

Here it is with a sheath more fitting for this amazing knife.

I have some black zytel KaBar handles for this but decided to try something else. I though micarta would look great on this. I am not real happy with the gap on the bottom but its still feels pretty good. I will decide if I'm going to keep them on here after some more use.

Here are some picture with the ESEE micarta I fit to the BK24.

I made a couple short videos showing these knives slicing paper right out of the box.

Congratulations; and as for the pics ... WOW!

As a Hungarian, the chicken paprikash is near and dear to me heart.

Thank you so much of sharing.

Maus, you are really stepping up your game with the photography! Absolutely fantastic pics of two worthy subjects. The 24 sheath looks excellent - did you make that one yourself? I don't have a lot of love for the factory 11/14/24 sheaths either. Too bulky IMO for that size blade. Gratz on the new steel.

Congrats on the new steel, man. Nice pics.. i also need to pick up a 24. The 5 is a great knife. Use them well

Great pics man! The same thing happened to me with the 24.
Congrats on the new steel!
Great pics man, my favorite is the 6th one of the 24. The contrast where its laying in the grass, looks like an advertisement...good stuff!

Those are some awesome pics of some awesome knives.

Congrats man. The fiver is a sweet blade, fo sho. That 24 looks sweet with the ESEE micarta on her.

Thanks my friends. I'm happy to be able to share these with you.

Thanks man! This is my first time using a new camera I helped my daughter buy. A $500 Nikon. She has been saving her money from working at a skating rink. She made it to $375 and I payed the rest. Now I get to borrow it.

I didn't make the kydex sheath. Its an Azwelke. I have never made a kydex sheath but I hope to soon. CF1969 gave me a few sheets of kydex he had left over and it inspired me to give it a shot. I'm waiting on a tax return to get the rest of the things I need. Hopefully I manage to make one I'm not too embarrassed to post.

I'm sure you can do it.....I mean, I do it, so it can't be that difficult. Certainly not on par with Julio or Al, but not terrible....I've no doubt you'll make some decent Kydex.

Funny thing about the camera; that was my Christmas gift to the family (and myself) but I've yet to use it to take knife porn pics. Soon, though......Got them (us) a Nikon D3300 bundle with a couple lenses. So far, I'm loving it.....but after 35 years of shooting with a film SLR, I've got a few things to learn.

Awesome photos! Congrats on the new steel!

Be careful with the addiction of trying out new types of steel, take it from me.... it gets expensive! (and you'll just keep wanting to try them all!)

Great post, brother! The knives look good and I love the BK24 sheath. I am looking at getting a BK24. I think the D2 will be better vs corrosion resistance since we've been living over the water lately.

Love the post!

Nice knives! Really cool pics. I love the pics of the 5 fading out.

Congrats on the new acquisitions!

The 24 was my first BK and the 5 was the second. I now have duplicates of both.

Nice photos. The lighting effects are great.

Hey BMauser...

Thank you for your continued interest in my blades....... The Five is a wonderful blade and I am sure you will enjoy using it for a long time...... Wait till you chop with it..... Usually a real eye opener.......LOL...... Balance......

True story from the boss!! I impressed the crap outta everyone at Becker west a couple years ago when I used my 5 in the chopping competition. It is my go to blade; best paired with a 15. ;)

Congrats on the new steel!! Yay!!!

Very Nice blades!! And nice pics:)

The 5 and the 15 - two of my very favorites. I do like the 4 as well. They're all good (great) but the 5, 15 and 4 trip my trigger.
