Tell me what one knife you'd spend it on.

ABSOLUTE budget of $100... folder, fixed blade, etc.... the floor is open to you gentlemen

May I suggest that you give it to me. Then I will have $200 to spend ;) I kid, I am in the same boat as you and am considering an XL voyager, a spyderco matriach or just saving more for something else.

If I didn't already have one, I'd spend it on a Great Eastern - Northfield White Owl. Or maybe a Becker Combat Bowie. Or maybe an Esee...

Depends on what you already own. Any gaps in your collection or EDC rotation that need filled? I know you're a Busse fan, but im sure you carry a folder on a day to day basis.

Personally i would put the $100 towards a BRKT Bravo Necker 2 with scales, but thats just because i need a 3" fixed blade.

ABSOLUTE budget of $100---- a Fallkniven F1 if you can find it- try knife supply-- next would be a ESEE 4 at TKC

Paramilitary 2, Delica 4, Endura 4, Kershaw Skyline, Kershaw Blur, Kershaw Leek. Just few suggestions. Maybe adding some criteria, what weight you like, blade length, weight, ect. That would help too.

In reply to the questions asked earlier.

1. It's a visa gift card. I can use it for anything, anywhere
2. I carry a JYD II CP as my EDC until my zermeno azrael arrives
3. i LOVES me some becker, but the only one i know i want now is a BK9.... that's one of the things i'm considering
4. I don't like slipjoints... i'm a flipper guy.
5.In folders, i prefer a 3.5" blade or greater
6. In fixed blades, the only things i need are a blade greater than 10 inches, or a blade less than 5. I already have a Busse TGLB as a fighter
7. I love condor, Bussekin, becker, and kershaw... those are the only quality makers i know, so a suggestion there is nice, a suggestion outside them would be nifty too
8. I could probably use a really really good machete

these statements are in no way meant to invalidate any suggestions as i appreciate all of them, but it might help narrow down the options

Step 1. Get a SMKW catalog.
Step 2. Tear all the pages out & place on the floor.
Step 3. Toss the gift card up in the air & which ever knife/knives it falls on go online & buy somewhere else cheaper.

If you compromise a bit and get the Becker BK7 instead of BK9, you'll have plenty of $$ left over for a nice wood-handled Tromentina machete.
Two blades are better than one. :D

That would work great other than the fact that those catalogs are loaded with Frost. :D
