Wouldn't that be a Bad A$& knife? Plus it would win the coolest knife model name yet. Lol. Busse and kin have some cool names don't they. In all honestly though a 3/16 thick SR -101 steel swamp ash would be just sick!!! We should start a death chant!
 
Everyone does. But they want a Chop Mastiff first! Plus Death Chants don't seem to work in the Swamp...
 
What's the point of those chants?
You'll get your hopes up for 2 years or longer, and then dealers will be the ones who get to buy them...

Could you please elaborate? I'm new to the Swamp addiction, but for some reason, I begin to perceive an underlying bitterness toward SRKW with many long time followers. I would really appreciate to know why.

Am I the only one who thinks at this point they might as well just do away with the Swamp.

First they put the Busse name on the RMD which is basically the knife that 99% of people think of when they hear Swamp Rat now they are making Busse knives from SR101?!?!?!

I think the Swamp is headed for the unemployment line!

If they do maybe the Chopweiler and others can be part of the Battle grade Busse line
 
Man as bad as I'd like to have some of the old school rats, picturing them in my mind with a talon hole just seems so wrong.

Swamp used to be a bit more interactive as far as contact with customers. For the last 2+ years that contact has been dissipating.
Then there is the Anniversary Ratweiler release, advertised in Blade Magazine in 2012... Didn't happen yet aside from LE and some Ganza appearances, even though some of us placed orders when they 'accidentally' piped on the web store page 2 years ago...
Then there are the models that get 'retired' without warning and the new Mountainmandu at KC show without any word to the faithful Swamp customers. And the re-branding of RMD...
I think you would agree that some of us are somewhat frustrated.
 
From what I read from you and PatrickKnight, it all became crystal clear. I can understand the frustration, and I sure do hope the Swamp/ Busse's situation get clarified.
