Me and my girlfriend Cayla went on a weekend hunt this past saturday on my families property in the Mendicino National Forrest. Our hunt started at 6 am and I was able to bag this guy at around 11am. We tracked it for about 2.5 hours after we tried to get Cayla a neck shot. Our last ditch effort payed off when we reached a rock outcrop overlooking the glade area. The pack of 5 deer were moving through that so i took the shot. It ended up being a 317 yard shot and I hit him in the lungs i believe. It is a very big deer for the area with 4x3 points and weighing 88 pounds on the hook at the butcher. Thanks for your time.

She used it to help me skin the whole deer. Im going to do a skull mount on the deer.
 
Thanks for posting. Is that a Remington or a Browning rifle? What caliber? Glad to see Cayla is still enjoying her knife.
 
Its a Remington 700 in a 30-06. Cayla is loving the knife. Its one of her three knives and preformed perfectly this trip.
Were going back sep. 16 for her to shoot one hopefully. Ill post some pics if she gets one.
 
Nicely done. Very nice buck a great knife and a great hunting partner. It's hard to beat that.
 
I highly recommend that you tag your buck prior to taking photos. It is required by law, and Mendocino Wardens are diligent...

Veubent, it looks to me like you are pretty lucky man there! Looks like you bagged two of them to me, (a deer, and a dear)! Nice shot! You better hold on tight to any woman that looks like a honey, will go hunting with you, and help you skin out a deer too! You two take care!
