Yea , I was trying to dig up that thread...

It just strikes me as the second version of the proto is a FBM with a recurve and bowie tip with the words prototype slapped on. .. . I was not the only person to bring this up either on one of the older threads.
Whatever reason Jerry has for naming this blade a proto is only my guess.
