As posted on an earlier post, you know I have a good wife. Happily, but not unexpectedly, I have a good daughter as well.
We went to the Hofbrau house in Pittsburgh. In the common room are thick woodslab tables. Carving on them is encouraged by the mngt. I had my 317 with me to handle the task, but to my delight, my daughter pulls out her 2 dot!

Really love this place, only microbrew that I ever enjoyed the beer

Good story & very nice pictures.
However i'm not quite sure if i would trust the guy on the top left with a knife, but i could very well be wrong about that,

Always good to see someone teaching their children about life ... knives being part of most everyone I know growing up in a rural area ...

but I especially enjoy seeing daughters getting involved in the outdoors and knives or shooting sports ... I remember how proud I was of mine when she took to sharing intetests as such.

I live about 2-3 miles, as the crow flies, from Westmorland county border. I drink Straub, which is brewed in my hometown of St. Marys, about 3 hours NNE of Pittsburgh.

She's pretty handy with a .243 at 100 yards. She started to hunt when she was 12, had to skip the next year with a broken foot, hunted the next year and then her girly side caught up with me and cheerleading competitions interfered with buck season. Much to my chagrin.
