I go through work knives . Other than loss , at least 1 to 3 a year . I've been happy with a number of the less expensive factory knives ( round the 20 dollar amount) , in general . But man .. this Kershaw Barge is just fantastic !! I've been doing construction remodeling for the past couple of years and just this month got myself back into a cabinet shop , thankfully . I have a bad habit of using a knife to pry . It's what does my knives in usually . The Barge has a built in pry that is pretty awesome . Imo , it's the best designed Kershaw yet . The frame lock , blade shape and the overall mojo of it is fantastic
Anybody else got one ? Surely it's gotta be popular . It really has made an impression on me . It's the only knife I'll take to work anymore

Congratulations! Looks like an awesome knife. I do not have one. In photos it seems to have some hard angles. Does it anyway hinder the ergos a bit? Or does it just look like hard angle shapes?

The built in pry looks awesome!

It's pretty comfortable . I can see where looking at it , it looks like a flat long rectangle ... and it is , kind of , but it's comfortable enough . I haven't had a need to work with it for more than a few minutes at a time . It more like a minute or two , 20 timnes a day . The thing is a tank , it really is , and the pry is very solid . It's more solid than I would have thought . For an inexpensive knife , it's incredible

Sounds great. I must check this out since I pry stuff often. Anyone else who have this, please chime in and let us know what you think.

I like the combo idea quite a lot I never pry with my knives but I have to admit (probably other people here too) that I am very often tempted. I might end up getting a dedicated pry tool, but especially if you have no need for a lanyard adding a pry tool at the bottom of the knife seems like a neat solution.

Yes , it's great. I work in a cabinet shop . I pop lids on things all the time . On one side of the pry , it has a ridge that " grabs " ... It makes popping a lid . I was working construction remodeling the last two years ... man could I have used this knife

I've seen it and it looks pretty useful. I just can't justify buying it. Two things I dislike are the tip down only clip and the short blade. I know it's inexpensive but there are plenty of other Kershaws that appeal to me more than that.

I like it! Usually I like a longer blade. I am fortunate that in my state, we have reasonable knife laws, but I do occasionally travel to other states or countries that have "under 3-inch blade" laws and this would fit the bill for that. And the pry bar is a plus! Would never use the BLADE that way, but to have it built in with a steel backspacer is pretty cool, IMO.
