My shipment came in from the exchange! I am now the proud owner of a new-to-me Military and Endura Emerson Opener. I REALLY like the Millie. I am surprised how fast it opens. It reminds me of my beloved BM 710 in that aspect. I am looking forward to carrying and using them both!
BTW, this also means I doubled my Spydie collection.

After you have your Millie for a week or so the knife will seem a little smaller than it is now. This is pretty common with it the Millie.

I've read this on the forums a few times.

congrats, now go use the heck out if it.

My military basically made me stop buying knives, it is perfection for a larger folder, and if I really need to downsize I already had some smaller spydercos.
 
I know exactly how you feel.
The military has been my go-to folder for years.
The action is superb, fit n finish is excellent, and i can't think of a better blade shape and grind.
 
In my opinion, you just received one of the finest production knives ever made. The design and philosophy of this knife are simply outstanding. Yes, maybe the screws could be a little bigger (really doubt it would give any advantage though) or maybe the fit and finish could be a little nicer (although it would not give it any better functioning performance) or even maybe a 4 way pocket clip could be added (again I doubt you could do that without increasing weight, plus this knife is much better carried tip down) but even with those small nit-picks this knife remains a hall of famer and I hope Sal never changes it. Spyderco really did this one right and I would call it the masterpiece of all Spyderco knives made-to-date and probably of all that will be made. I cannot praise this knife enough. Add a Dragonfly II or a Techno as a companion knife and you will not need to buy another knife again

Yep, IMo its a absolute workhorse of a knife. I just wish they would make another CF/M390 run..they commonly sell for upwards of $400..way beyond my budget. I like S30V and think its a great steel but the CF/M390 millie is awesome..
 
Excellent choice in the Military, one of the best knives out there on the market and it's what I carry most of the time.
 
I used to dislike the military a lot. Then I got one and fell in love, so much so that I bought another one.
