I got a Kershaw Chive.
420HC steel, no serrations.
JUST got it earlier today. No chances for pictures, but its all new, (and im sure you know what they look like :))

Cool. That is a nice little knife very sharp and they fly open like a rocket.

Kershaw Makes Some Good Knives. Congratulations.
Next You Should Look Into The Leek And A Skyline.

Congrats, bladeboss. Nice little knives. I have a red Scallion that I really like.

These do come in different colors don't they? What color did you get?

Well, I'd like a Skyline, but no store around me sells them. It would have to be on the internet.
Also, I've read on the Leek, and im not liking the sounds of it. I hear that the tip is CRAZY fragile.
But, i have been wanting one.
I guess im torn on the Leek.

I got a chive. I dont think they come in different colors.
But anyways, its all silver. Just the metal color. No coating or anything.
EDIT-you are right. i looked them up, and they do come in different colors. but...

Congrats! The AO Kershaws are fun knives, aren't they? I don't think you need to worry about the tip on the Leek if you use it properly. But, if you're worried about the tip on the Leek, look for the Random Leek. Its got a Wharncliffe/Reverse Tanto style blade:

Not quite as "pointy" as a Leek:

For a smaller gents folder/lightweight knife the Chives rock not to mention they open very quickly and reliably due to the speed safe. I carried one for quite some time ( long enough to wear out the Speed Safe ) and I never felt under knifed with it and was able to preform just about every EDC task under the sun with it.

The chive is great, but maybe a little small for some people. I now have this family of Kershaws:

I have a Leek and I like it too, but it is not for rough use. Kershaw makes a lot of knives in that size, most probably stronger than the Leek. My newest one in the photo is the Blur, considerably larger than the Leek. The Blurs come in a good number of different colors although some are very difficult to find. The Leeks OTOH come in a LOT of different colors. There are threads here with extensive photos of different Leeks and colors.

Thanks, all.
Sounds like i got a good knife!
I dont mind how small a knife is, as long as it looks good, and feels OK in the hand, which this one does!

YAY!!!!! I've got two different knives coming in the mail too. It's getting hard to wait.

That's a handy little knife, congrats. I've been looking more at Kershaw's stuff lately since my brother-in-law got me a Chill for Christmas. They have impressive quality and value at the price point they are at.

its my edc. i wear a suit and work in an office. i hardly ever need to use a knife the the chive is good for anything i ever need. i got the ss version.

It's not fragile if you don't stab things.
