I got a Spyder for my birthday!

My birthday was on the 12th, and the blue handled ladybug I received is defenitely starting to grow on me. although it is small it is very comfortable to handle when it's attached to my keychain. This is a great knife to show and use when among non-knife people, the size and colour really makes it look beautiful and handy to "knifeless people". Ofcourse the true beauty comes from its impressive cutting power. It's a nifty little weapon too! It sorta follows the La Griffe philosophy, always there, very sharp ,comfortable to carry, and big enough to make them 'let go'.

I recall a discussion on coloured handles for Delica's or something, but I would really buy a FRN blue handled Delica, and a couple more as presents! Anyone else want to see Ladybug handle-colors in other Spyderco models?

I gave my wife a blue Ladybug last Christmas, and it has been on her keyring ever since. She has used it for everything from opening boxes and cutting threads to making peanut butter sandwiches

. I've offered to get her a bigger knife but she says the Ladybug is all she needs and, in any case, she wouldn't always have a larger knife with her as she does with the Ladybug. BTW have you noticed that the quickest way to open it is to grab the hole and let the weight of the keys pull the handle down, very fast

Yes, I have become quite adept at
"inertia opening" my Ladybug. Now most people are wondering why I keep playing with my keys whenever I'm in the house

I can't think of a better present for your birthday exceptmaybe 2 Spydercos or 3 or......

Spyderco use to make the Delicas and Enduras in different colors (Blue, Green, Pink) I too wish they would bring them back. They add a little color to my collection. I have the following:
Pink Delica (old and new style clip)
Blue Delica (old style clip)
Green Endura (old style clip)

How about it Sal? Will you be offering some of the larger knives in colors again?
