I do my best to keep my orders dispersed so as to not get dinged. My knife budget needs time to recover between my custom orders.

Clearly my planning failed miserably this week. :D

I posted earlier this week about my Dowell dog leg. I got a message from Mike Alsdorf today that my latest order with him was complete....double-whammied. :D

My single blade peanut....ruby red bone handle with threaded bolsters. I decided against a shield as didn't want any of that gorgeous red bone covered up. Here is a picture Mike sent me. I'll take some of my own once I get it.

It's been a good week for me..... :thumbup:

Thank you...I'm excited to get it. I changed my mind several times on this order and probably drove Mike a little nuts with my questions but I just couldn't decide on what I wanted. I believe this order started out as single blade slim line trapper with an elephant ivory handle...I'm certain it changed a couple of more times before I finally finalized the order.

You'll have no problems. Mike is easy to work with and his knives...well...when you get it in your hand you'll know.

What's coming next...good question. I have one on order from Chuck Gedraitis that should be done in April. I have another sway back (shadow) coming from Bret Dowell. I may give the one I have now to my father as he really likes it. I'm on Kerry Hampton's list as well but haven't decided on the knife yet. I'll probably start making some calls here shortly about some new orders. I like to support the makers here on BF and there are a few here I haven't ordered from yet. Rick Menefee and Ken Erickson will probably be my first calls. Ken Coats as well. I will also be ordering another knife from John Howser.
