I got into the "Groove"....

You'll like your new Groove, good price too. I find myself carrying it more than any of my other Kershaws.:)

The knife arrived two days ago.......Great blade design and feel in the hand. It is smooth but the flipper does not open the blade fully unless the blade is pionted downward. I assume this will wear in but this knife will be spending alot of time in my collection so I may not get it to the point of wearing in that much. It is well made and a different style blade for sure.....I like it !!!

If you haven't used a manual flipper before (forgive me if you have) those are pretty typical results. It is of course possible the pivot is too tight or the blade is dragging on the lock, but if it opens using the flipper and a little wrist action then it is functioning normally. You probably need a slight change in technique. When I first took my Lahar out of the box, I initially could only get it to open 3/4 of the way. Try pre-loading the flipper by applying pressure on it directly toward the pivot. Once it's loaded up, maintain pressure and quickly curl your index finger (so your fingertip is moving along the long axis of the knife). Once you get the hang of this you should be able to pop it open in any position. It may take a bit of practice, but its worth it.
