Well, after much sitting on the fence, I put in my order for a plain-Jane BM-42. I should have also put in for some Militech-1, but I'll get it when I get the blade. My local dealer has the Benchmade Torx bits.

Now for the question:

Are the Benchmade Torx bits any better than the Craftsman or Ace Hardware equivalent?

From what I understand, they're worse, but you don't get the funny blue case with a Craftsman set. (Craftsman stuff is 100% guaranteed for life, BTW. Bonus!)

You should really get some miltec-1 right now because when you do get your bm42(yay I got mine also ) you might need to lube that baby up.:D . Mine squeek so bad:eek: my girl friend wouldn't let me play with it at her house.:o

Are you sure that you put in the order for the bm42 and not just ask if local gun store got one yet?:D Just to make sure you dont have to wiat so long. :D Waiting sucks. oh well:D I have my bm42a for about 3 weeks and I love it. Although it did stab me today. . My fault though:p

For just around the house the Craftsman tools are best but for field use the BM torx kit is easier to carry and it is much smaller.

This time, I gave them explicit instructions to order one. :D:D

They said they might have trouble finding one through their distributers, but I'll order the Militec ASAP. BTW, where can I get it cheap? :D:D

I have a set carried with the help of an BX inverted V that I use every day! Can't beat'em! Good luck.

Regards,

Well I havent found a place to buy militec-one except from their web site. So I just stuck with their price and bought the sniper package. its the 4oz,1/4 oz and the metal tube thingy.it cost like 23.?? inclding shipping. www.militec-1.com

Benchmade sells it through their site, too. price sounds the same, too. BTW, I just heard that a local dealer has some 42's in stock, for, get this, $99!!!

I'M THERE!!! :D:D:D
