Well lucky for me. My two RC-4s are still lost in the mail, but my short Spec-Ops Navigator sheath came in today, and it actually fits the RC-6. The discontinued model was on sale by a Georgia vendor called EMGear, so I took a chance. I didn't want the long sheath, but with a 6.5" blade, I thought I might have to remove the liner screw to make it work. But I did not. So how does a 6.5" blade fit into a 6" sheath?

Like this. The curved part of the blade misses the screw! Perfect fit.

So with my belt clip back coming in for the molded sheath, I have two carry options. I like the Cordura sheaths with the pouches. They carry very well and the pouch is useful for storing sharpening tools or a multi-tool. Cool. Now if those darned RC-4s will just show up.

Yep. EMGear are good people. I see them at a lot of the gunshows and stuff around here. I've bought a few things from them. Good folks.
 
I removed the Spec-Ops liner this morning and heated it up in a pan of water. Once soft, I squeezed it. It now grips the blade for an even better fit and better retention. As for EMGear, I have added them to my list of good vendors. After all, they carry RAT Cutlery knives. :thumbup:
 
HD, whats the difference between the Navagator and the Combat Master? I know it says that the nav is designed to use your flashlight, but are the pouches the same? Will the 6 fit the cmb master?

The Navigator has a hole in the bottom of the pouch with some blue translucent film over it. The idea being to turn on a flashlight in the pouch for discreet night "navigation", I guess. Seems gimmicky to me. Other than that, it appears to be identical to the combat master, so I'm guessing the RC-6 will fit in the short combat master model. I only got the navigator because it was discontinued and on sale.
 
27 bucks! I almost ordered one but right before I clicked the confirm button I remembered that the molle back and pouch for the 6 is coming soon soo... I guess I'm waiting.
