I can' say enough good about it!!!!
I have long admired the Talon, but it was a bit beyond my reach in price no matter how good it may be in Talonite®, but now I have a fine example in excellent steel!!!!
The Talon right out of the box was hair poppin sharp and of course slices paper with ease.
The fit and finish are excellent, the lines are crisp and clean,
and the kydex scabbard fits perfectly. It seems a little loose when first putting the knife in and withdrawing it, but I believe it's the most excellent care used in the manufactureing and fitting of the knife and scabard that makes it feel that way.
I don't believe that it's in any way insecure.
I checked the thickness right at the edge bevel and mine comes in from 0.025 to 0.030, nice and thin
and superbly ground.

This is the finest example of any production knife I have ever seen bar none. It even beats some high level customs I have seen.

I believe Camillus has raised the bar of excellence in the world of production knives if they are all as expertly done as this one!!!!!!!
And if this is an example of the knives Camillus routinely makes it won't be my last, besides I have an EDC coming as well.

Great job was done by all and you've won a new customer and fan!!!!

I said it before and I'll take this opportunity to say it again.

Camillus is the knife company to watch!

Got mine as well! Very nice knife!!!How do the serial numbers work? mine says 1 of 300. I am pretty sure I did not get the first one!

It is all Greek to me

Copis,
You have my knife because mine says 1 of 300 too.

I think someone made a boo boo. But it's a minor boo boo.

The knife really is a beauty and for the money, an unbeatable deal! You get custom styling, custom steel, and flawless production for $99. Unreal.

Still can't get over the quality that's shown in all aspects of the little knife.
I might add this one to my alternateing EDC list.

YVSA;
I got the Talon talonite and the mini-Talon talonite and everything you said about the 154 version goes double of the talonite versions. Camillus has done one of the nicest combinations I have ever seen. Camillus is and has been doing a super job of knife making for many years but the Talons are the most usable of all of my knives....always with me and always ready to use.

I am glad to hear all you guys are liking the Talon! I am glad you can appreciate the simple yet affective design for hunting and utility. Camillus as has been said are the folks to watch. And thanks to 1SKS for getting this knife made in a good steel to make it more affordable!

Just ordered another Talon 154CM. One is just not enough.

Rob, you're awesome. I don't care what Tom Mayo or Walt Welch sez.

Copis and Hoodoo,
All 300 knives made will say "1 of 300". They aren't serialized but etched to let your great grandchildren know that grandpa left them a special knife

How many are left? I've been trying to find extra work all week to raise money for the 154cm talon. This would really suck if I missed out on 'em.

It hurts to be on the cutting edge.

Mine came this morning, and went to work with me today. Great little knife, and cuts like the dickens (whatever that means). Went through some cardboard boxes, opened some packages, cut a bunch of paper, and shaved mucho hair-popped might be a more accurate way of describing it. Poor thing must be tired. Cleaned it, stropped it, and put it to bed.

btw, you guys can stop lying. I got #1 of 300

And I got my EDC today.
What a cute little knife!!!!!
biggrin.gif

It is also razor sharp out of the box, but not quite as hair poppin as the Talon.
However a couple of passes over the strop and it is.
biggrin.gif

I usually carry a fixed blade everywhere I go, but I can see the EDC going with me more as a gent's knife. I think it's that nice. And it's that size for me.
And perfect for airline travel!!!!

Great Job Darrel, Camillus and Bladeforums.com!!!!
