It came in or Friday safe and sound. It was a really busy weekend, that's why it's taken so long for me to post up about it. Now though we all need to think good thoughts about meathor getting the 2 I sent safe and soon.

:D awesome!! I just got done with my first shelter for the contest, what an awesome knife. it was a great axe/saw/machete/shovel.

Congrats. My favorite too. It's what I always take. Combo it with either the 14, or ESEE 4, or a Mora or, or, or ... (lol)

I've said it before, but for a big knife, the 9 just has a great feel. Well balanced and not too heavy.


Have to try out the new Tweeners for more some combo ideas ... Maybe a passaround ???!!! Just an idea :D
 
Love the knife. Hate the sheath. Or the insert, to be specific. When/If I ever get the last 3 items on my hot list, the '9 will be first to be re-sheathed. I used it almost exclusively over the '2 when I was at Dave Canterburys school. It's just the right length/weight. Would love a kydex/leather hybrid sheath like the BHK PLSK-1.
If all Beckers came with sheaths like the Becker/Ritter and no black coating, I'd be a happy man.

Hey MWTIC, glad you got your package and went right to using that sucker! It means a lot to me that an experienced sheathmaker likes my leatherwork.

The build process of my sheath is documented in the thread "Leather sheath for the awesome BK9 Combat Bowie", and the sheath for the 9 that MWTIC made for the 9 was introduced in "BK9 Book of Eli sheath" IIRC.

I'm loving this thing Meathor! I wanna go out and cut some more things now :D

I wouldn't say that I'm an experienced sheath maker, but I've made and seen a few of 'em and I believe that the sheath you made it very good quality. I thought about using it as a baton when I was cutting through that branch :D :thumbup:
