I got my BK10, thank you Ka-bar and BK&T

I got a package in the mail today....a sweet little something something from The wonderful moderators of this board.
OMG this knife is so freakin' awesome. I think it just 1 upped my BK2. Uh oh. I took the micarta handles off my BK2 and put it on the 10. I think I actually like the 2 better with the grivory handles. So here are some pics. I am so stoked about this, THANK YOU!!!

Oh, and a fun side note...as I was stripping the paint off the 10, I was sitting on the ground outside. I was assaulted by an army of ants....nothing like having ants in your pants with your gloves covered in paint stripper....that was fun, and probably comical to passer bys.

It's a nice knife and all, but my god what a price to pay. Besides, that other moderator...you know..what's his name? That guy with six million posts...whatever...

Congrats on the BK10. Awesome knife. It's the reason for my BH #. Sorry about the ants in your pants------------------yeah, ok, not gonna go there !!! LOL :D
 
That looks good, good job cleaning it up!
I never owned a 10, with all the Beckers I have had, I guess I missed that boat.
Oh yeah...careful...the other MODS are going to get their feeling hurt if you are to nice to Moosey. Plus, he is susceptible to flattery. :D
 
I forgot to mention, all the other Moderators are handsome generous devils too! You all rock, and I'm so thankful to be a part of this forum!
 
Umm, though Moose scored the knives from Ka-Bar and did the shipping, I was the one who hooked you up with the BK-10. You probably just forgot.
 
Nice new steel...By the way, how'd you get the free blade? I somehow seem to miss all the GAWs that go on around here.
 
Similarly, I was attempting to climb a birch, with a D cup of Chaga, 10 foot up, bk 10 on my hip, in my crocs, getting molested by Mosquitos, just off the side of the road. I just don't know how those guys shimmy up those damn palm trees, I really don't. I give it a ten, a ten!!

NikkiR was member 600 in FoB. In fact, that was what started it all. I asked Moose if he or Uncle Weirdbeard had any giveaway knives handy. Moose procured a box of steel for Fans of Becker/Ka-Bar and then called me up and said to dole them out however. tradewater and other winners can thank Nikki for starting the whole thing.

Edit: Alnamvet68 was something else. All Moose on that one.

I could tell by just reading the title that Nikki has never personally met Moose! :rolleyes: and if you ever do Nikki, let me give you some advice. If he is wearing his kilt, do ever lift it up to see if he's got underwear on! :barf:

Thank His Eminence. I was a bit concerned I would be beholden to the Biscuit Man who like pictures of junk sent to his cell phone :o. Hey Moose, thanks a bunch, and the local Boy Scouts luv ya' too.:thumbup:
 
Guyon! You are correct, you did the hooking up, so you are very much appreciated! I cleared out my PM box shortly afterward, and only remembered moose because he posted up on here about it. I apologize. But you rocked my socks off with that 10 for sure! Maybe that's why I got ants in my pants?
