My first Becker knife, the BK11, arrived in the mail today. I figured that since I'm new here, this would be a great time to say hi. What a great little knife this is, I love it. This thing is going to get a lot of work. I've got a set of micarta scales on the way from Saint Cutlery. They should be great on this. I'm already looking to order my next Becker tonight :D I just can't decide between the BK2 or the BK7. It really is a sickness!

I would like to congratulate you on your first Becker, and welcome you to the asylum.

I'd also like to recommend gettin a BK5. It's a damn nice blade.

Make sure a BK-9 is in the mix as well, Captain. Trust me, you'll be glad you got one.

Oh yeah, and you are also obliged to post a picture of your new knife in an appropriate setting, because we all loooove the knife pics. :D

Yeah get an 11 then a 9 then a 2 then a 10 and a 14 and 13 in there somewhere I forget all ready oh yeah and a 5 is on the way.

I will make sure and post some pics when I get the scales on.

Thanks to everyone for all of the great knife suggestions... Now you're making my choice even harder.

Congrat on the new Becker and welcome to the forum.

Welcome to BF and congrats on your new/first Becker.

FWIW: You're going to end up with both of them..... just accept it.

Thanks. Yes, I definitely will end up with both, and more... But for now the BK7 is on the way :)

Welcome! I got my first a BK2 and then the sickness started. Since then I have acquired a BK5 (Thanks a lot Moose!) and a BK-14. I then bought my son a BK-13 (first real knife to test him on how he treats it) and a BK7 for the son in law. I figure it is better to have friends that are addicted than to try and handle the addiction alone. Makes for good company!

Congrats. I'm in the same situation. Just picked up a BK14 and now I'm looking for a BK2 and thanks to Moose's Shot Show post the 16 will be after that.

I would have to agree with some of the other members here, throw up some pics! You planning on doing any mods?

Ok, ok :) I'll get some pics up soon. I want to put some spine jimping on it for sure, maybe stripping and a forced patina too.

Ok, first time posting pics. Hopefully it works. I've been trying a few different handle wraps to see what I like.

Just get the micarta scales for it. The scales make it so much better than any wrap ever could, and the chances of a hot spot from the scales is a lot less.

Now lets see some action shots!!

Oh, I ordered the micarta scales about 30 seconds after I ordered the knife :) I was just playing around with the paracord.

Hey Capt, I just got my first bk2 and already having a bk9 and 11 I now feel like I can take on the world, lol;) I too have a set of micartas on the way from Saint cutlery but they're the full size. I just can decide if they'll go on the 2 or 9. Having to pick just one Becker for anything at anytime is a brain tearing dilemma, just be glad that no matter what you choose its a win/win every time:D
