I got my first custom folder today...

and it was everything I hoped it would be and more! It took 7 months but....it was worth the wait.


Thank you Mike, for the small Model 2 linerlock which I received today. Hair popping sharp with a special drop point with top false edge blade in handrubbed satin S30V, titanium bolsters and carbon fibre scales.

Plus Mike made mine with extra thick liners. Buttery smooth opening, solid lock-up, zero bladeplay, centered blade, smoothed edges....perfection in motion.

This one's going straight into the safe to be fondled only (for now).

I think I may consider a framelock or something with natural material for scales sometime in the future.....

Congrats -- excellent choice. That's a knife that begs to be used. You'll only appreciate it more when it's scuffed up.

Congratulations. I picked up a very similar small Model 2 at the NY Custom Knife Show in November. Best of luck with it. Don't be afraid to use it.
