Hi guys, this is my first post on this board and just wanted to tell everbody that I just I'm the proud father of a 18"AK. He's a fine looking lad with a glimmer in his eye the should impress everyone he meets.
I want to thank Uncle Bill for the fast delivery I think you set a record. I took it out today and tried it on some dried oak that I'll be using for stovewood in the shop and it chewed it up like balsa wood. I couldn't find Bin Laden to try it out on so I tried the next best thing, Bin Choppin, Bin Splitin, Bin Bendin and Bin Whackin and it passed all the test withouth a hitch :D . Now the only problem I have is I'm going to have to get a big knife. The 18" AK will be a good camp knife but I handel 95lb jackhammers all day and I think the 20" AK just might fill the ticket. (I see more overtime in my future).
I think you guys have been a bad influnce on me, but we all have our vices.

Congratulations on the new blade Keith! and welcome to the Cantina!:)

Yeah, if you handle 95lb jackhammers the 20AK may not be that big either! Experts will be around shortly to recommend a suitably huge blade for you:D

Super Salyan? GRS? The 8lb AK of archives fame?......

First off... contrary to what a certain "researcher" might say... you've been infected with HIKV :D.

But not to worry, the inventory that Uncle Bill carries will surely keep you from going into withdrawl... and when he runs out... there are always customs to be had :D:D:D

Welcome, Keith, and thanks for good field report. We'll get you a knife that will fit your hands later on. Nothing like having something really substantial.
 
I can see that it's too late to warn you about HIKV. I am currently working on a cure (unfortunately, for the moment it is wost than the desease), and I wish to reassure you that research will continue at HI's Florida research facility (located in a top secret cave somewhere in a florida swamp)until that cure is found.

The cure for HIKV has already been found.

No one would take it ( you try giving an injection to a guy with 6 or 8 up 20 or 30 inch knives laying around at hand ) , and it has since been archived and possibly lost.
 
Ouch:eek: !! Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease. Are you sure I couldn't take two and call Uncle Bill in the morning:confused: ?

Takeing two and calling Uncle Bill with the order has the best results for a short term treatment of HIKV symptom's.!!!!;) :cool: :D
 
Paulo, how far are you from Ivan? Maybe we can have an HI Khukuri convention in Brazil. It's been a lifelong dream for me to visit the Opera House in Manaus.
 
Uncle Bill, I live in the city of Sao Paulo, capital of the state of Sao Paulo, near Ivan Campos (about 100 km of distance)... Manaus is in the middle of the way from USA to here. Last month I went to the Adventure Sports Fair, that happens yearly in Sao Paulo, and there were some knives in exposition (the nearest to a khukuri was a Cold Steel version). It would be great to have an Khukuri convention here! This city is very large, has about 15 million of habitants, many people that loves and can afford special knives. I believe it would be a success.
