I received my first sebenza today (small trailing moon CGG) and it is very cool! I'm amazed how light the handle is, and how effectively the blade shape cuts. I'm gonna have lots o' fun with this knife. I just had to tell someone, and I knew you folks would appreciate my enthusiasm.

I've got lots of knives (ome which cost a lot more), but for sheer cutting function, my small sebenza rides in my pocket almost everyday.

You guys are going to keep waxing rhapsodic about those ugly things until I finally break down and buy one.

Seriously, I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and some things just have to grow on you. I used to think Spyderco knives were ugly until I finally got one. Pretty is as pretty does, I guess. But congratulations, Mark, and welcome to the forums.

I know you guys are getting tired of hearing this but, I am still waiting on my first Sebenza. I e-mailed CR knives and they told me that I might have it by May 25. The wait is getting to me.

I just got my first Sebenza over a year ago, and I'm still like a kid with a new toy...

I also have a small trailing moon, left hand version. Great knife! I have a number of customs and in all honesty I can't say that they are any better than my Sebs. They aren't cheap, but I have never regeted buying them. Customer service second to none. And to those that would sniff that Crk's aren't custom, I would say go jump in a lake. Almost every custom I have ever bought had to go back to the maker for changes. But not my Sebs! Go figure! Hang in there John, it took 8 months for me to get my wood inlay.

Yes, really the Sebenzas are the best!
I purcheased my first plain Sebenza about two years ago and it is now with my son, which is a pilot and I gave my litlle Unfaan to my daughter in law.I know your feelings because last march I received my small Classic Sebenza. Since that moment I have carried it everywhere. Enjoy your FIRST Sebie.

Mark,

Congrats on your 1st Sebenza! You will not be disappointed. I got my large, lefty, serrated about 4 months ago and I have carried ever since. Get this, I actually sold off a large portion of very rare Benchmades to buy.....a small, lefty, serrated Sebenza. That's right, I sold them. I became so hooked on the 'benza that I had to have more!!! More Sebenzas needed!!! Need CGG Umfaan!!! Whoa........calm down, take deep, slow breaths. I'm OK, I'm OK....Whew.

Anyways, enjoy it.

Larry, I'm waiting on a large left handed Sebenza. They told me that they were out of handles for the left handed models so they would have to make some more. I hope to get it soon.

John,

Did you try any online dealers or are you dealing directly with CRK? Try these 2 dealers, they may have what you are looking for in stock for the same price. Skylands is great, I've dealt with Greg for years. Great service, great prices. I just ordered my small ,serrated lefty from Pete's Tactical. Give 'em a shot if you don't want to wait. Good luck and let me know how it turns out.
BTW, your e-mail is not working,e-mail keeps getting sent back.

Remster135, sorry about the e-mail thing. I have a different e-mail address now but they won't let me change my profile. My new one is johnpuckett44@hotmail.com. I'm dealing directly with CR knives. I would try somewhere else but I have already paid CRK's. My knive will be here soon anyway, I hope.
