First, don't hate me but it's too dark for good pictures but I post some anyway.

I got both the all black and the regular one Keycom. They are really both incredible little knives. The lock up and overall feel is much better than my Spyderco Jesters. My other small Spyderco don't look so small any more. The U2 folder looks positively huge!

Still it fits the hand so well with a deep coil and jimping on top it has tons of control for something that is so small. At first I thought the way the blade tilts down was odd but one you hold it it makes sense.

The Black knife is my favorite of the too. Very shiney finish, reminds me of the blade finish on the black Chives. The treatment, unlike most knives, isn't limited to the blade. I never realised it in Chad's pictures but that same great coating is on the clip, lock, and metal frame. Classy. The black one has a higher number (186 vs 086) and I wonder if that is because they are selling faster. Most likely they just grab them off the shelf and don't pay attention to the numbers, but this black knife with a PE is going to be hot.

AND they put a clip on it! I love this thing!

Chad thanks for these great little knives. Making something this small that works so well is not easy.

Hey Mahalo much Killdozer!!!

I just checked out your thread over at the "other place"...awesome buddy, and I am happy you like these lil' wonders. Oh man, you're telling me...to make something this small perform like a bigger knife while remaining unobtrusive on the keychain is NOT easy at all.

I got my Bead Blasted version on my keychain and I been clipping my black KEYCOM ON me...I mean, it's just a fun knife, and you can clip this lil' bugger wherever!!! Good fun I tell ya!!!:p

If ya got a Spyderco White stone, give your KEYCOM's a few strokes on it...then make the Star wars Lightsaber sound when you are cutting with it...SCARY SHARP!!! I just went through a pretty thick rubber gasket with my Black KEYCOM and it push cut right through with EASE. I love it...

Anyway, ya take care and enjoy! Mahalo much buddy!!!

God bless!!!

Daywalker,

Although they came plenty sharp the first thing I did with them is get them shaving sharp with the white stones (then UF stones and then some leather... I get cared away in the pursuit of sharp). I feel a little silly but I am going to carry them both today.

The only rub I got with them so far, and it's minor, is that the lanyard hole is too small to accept my para-cord lanyards. Looks like I am going to have to use some kind of transition ring and for the record a keychain ring does come with it.

Can't wait for mine to arrive. Usually I'm one of the first people to get the new Böker releases, what's happening???

I got mine from knifecenter.com. I actually placed my order, then got a notification that I had bad credit info and called the next day and got that fixed... then it came in the regular mail.

For some reason they are also the first company to get the white spyderco dragonfly. Mine should be in tomorrow.
