First off, I would like to thank Chester22 and jhyde7585. Chester so graciously held a giveaway for his 3,000th post. I had a lot of fun participating and looking at your guy's pictures. I wasn't any of the winners, but jhyde was (that's what I'll call you for now on). jhyde won 2 out of the 5 prizes and very generously gifted one of the prizes to me. I am very thankful for Chester and jhyde's generosity and I'm still tickled pink.
Now to the prize. I knew that I was getting a knife, but wasn't sure what one. Either way I was very excited to see what I got. Shipping was fast, only 3 days so I'll give props to Chester for that one. Today my package arrived. Immediately after getting it out of the mail box I knew something didn't feel right. The package felt weigh heavier than I would've expected. The ideas of what might be in the box started shooting out of my head. I got inside and started cutting open the sides of the box first (with my Cryo). Everything was smooth sailing until I got to the front portion of the box. I started to cut that happen and my Cryo wouldn't go any farther. I couldn't even lift the tab open a little bit to see what was the problem. Than it hit me, he super glued the top down. He didn't super glue it a little bit, he super glued the whole flap down. At that point I just started to cut anywhere but the super glued portion to see if I could get it open. I would say about 10 minutes later I was able to get it open.
Now the prize. The prize that I got was a Black Gulch, and I absolutely love it. I've been cutting and slicing any piece of paper that sits where it doesn't belong. It's my new gentleman's folder. It's perfect. I also received a lot more than just the Black Gulch. Chester also threw in a lanyard, some paracord, a solid piece damascus necklace by what I'm guessing is grindworx, a bead for a lanyard that was done by willydigger designs which is made out of zebra wood (It's the villain design), an ultra-tek sharpener, and a Gerber Applegate Fairbairn (which is a lot of fun to fondle). All of these are like the icing on the cake. I'm still in awe. I couldn't believe what I was looking at when I saw them. I'm just so blessed to be surrounded by the kind of people like Chester and jhyde (they're more, but there's so many to list). I would just like to say thank-you! I couldn't be any happier or ask for any more! Thanks again!!
All of my prizes from Chester
The Black Gulch. This knife is a lot bigger in person.
Close-Up of the GrindWorx Damascus Dog Tag. This thing is awesome.
The Villain lanyard bead from willydigger designs. I'll see if I can put this on my lanyard later.
The Gerber. This thing is really fun to fondle.
The Ultra-Tek Sharpener. I thought it was a flashlight at first.
The lanyard attached to my Cryo.
