what should i do to make them become blades and at meantime don't destory the heat treatment, because i don't have enough equipment to do the heat treatment.woule you like to give me some advice or the name of books which could solve my problems?

Are you in China? Are these heat treated bars or are they already profiled?

Hoss

You might need to use waterjet to cut the profile and then may be water cool grinding.

You will need to read a lot, do learn to make knives, and build/buy a bunch of equipment to do what you ask. Working with hardened bars of Z-wear is not a beginner's project.

You need belt grinder with some ceramic belts , small angle grinder and tungsten carbide drill bits to drill holes in handle .And some sandpaper for hand sanding ....rest is on you how you use them !

You don t need any book , you are on right place here to learn .You will find thousand of topic about belt grinders and other equipment .You will find thousands of topic about anything you need to know .

If you look in the stickys at the top of the Shoptalk page, you will find a lot of information on making a knife. Most of it is aimed at an unhardened blade, but the principle is the same. There are also books listed in the stickys about knifemaking.
The stickys also have the Custom Search Engine. Use it and search things like, "Knifemaking Books" and you will find older threads with many books listed. The Search Engine is useful to find any subject you want to look up in past threads.

Here is one I pulled up on the subject of your inquiry about working with pre-hardened steel:

Your biggest issue is going to be keeping the blade cool while grinding the hardened steel. You don't want it getting hotter than 260°C/500°F while grinding. Dip in water every pass across the grinder. Hand sanding will be very slow with Z-wear, but it will slowly progress.

My final comment is that without knifemaking grinder and a fair amount of experience, making a knife from hardened Z-wear will not likely come out well.

Hhow useful information! thank you sir.God bless you.

Hey it's a lot at one time! Don't get frustrated!! The only thing I can recommend that has not been mentioned is a book by Dr. Larrin Thomas "Knife Engineering". It might be a bit advanced, but it's definitely worth getting if you are starting out making knives! Good luck brother!

The problem is it's only in English. I'm Estonian so I understand the language barrier!.

😔

It's an excellent cost for the information contained in it also! The book that is.

thank you sir ,thanks for your encouragement.

I wish you good luck! Your first knife will probably be trash, and your second will probably be only a little better, but everyone must start someplace!

... It would be easier to start with annealed simple carbon steel, though!

Welcome to the forum, my son was a US. Marine during the first joint training mission in Estonia, he had nothing but good things to say about the country and the people. Glad you are here.
