Ken if your around eat your heart out! :)

When I got home today a box from Minnesota was waiting in the living room. In it was my latest acquisition. Here are a couple of warmup pics, I'll of course be posting a full review later. It's the Bavarian rapier. As usual A&A has done an outstanding job. My only prior experience with rapiers was a del tin that I briefly owned and which has now gone to live with Mario Perez. I can only say that there is no comparison. The fit and finish are head an shoulders above the del tin, the balance is outstanding, the wire wrapped grip is a pleasure to behold. Am I glad I got this one? You could say that. :)

Purdy...

If'n I'm lucky, I'll be living in close enough proximity to their shop to visit every once in a while this autumn.

I always liked what I've seen and handled from them. Congrats on your acquisition.

Wow! Living down the street from A&A? You are one lucky guy. I'd be down there all the time...

Hey Triton looks good! loveta see more pics when you get a chance...The Bavarian rapier is nice the only other one I like is the Italian rapier...hey did ya get a scabbard for it or will ya be making one? Bring on the beauty shots!

Thanks Sweet, the guys at A&A get all the credit. I'll certaily post some more/better shots my digicam was on its last legs batterywise last night. I'll also post the statistics on this beauty as well. I had to do a coin flip between the Italian and Bavarian myself. I've got German ancestry so... I'll be doing up the belt/frog/scabbard combination myself. It's a first for me but I think it will be fun.

I own the Shifford Viking from A&A, and it rocks! Certainly the most 'weaponized' version of a typical viking sword I've handled. They sure got it right, as I''m sure they did with the Bavarian. Worth the $$$...

Also got the lugged war spear from them, and they said they'd warranty it, unless I throw it at an engine block (it's not a thrower, tho, it is a hand spear.)

Thanks FW, the shifford is on my A&A list immediately following the katzbalger which is my next purchase from them.

Would I be able to resist showing pics of that thing... er I mean would I ever let you guys down? :)
