Friday the big brown truck left me a package on the doorstep. The M.E.U.K.-1 in Talonite that I won! I will post a review in the appropriate forum after I've had time to test it out. I'm really impressed by this knife already, though. It is very well made, including the Concealex sheath. The handle is extremely comfortable. The edge was great out of the box too, just ask my finger.

I will also say that it does not look like a Mad Dog. That's all I'm going to say about that and I would appreciate it if that whole subject was not brought up in this thread again.

I was trying to find a picture of the knife to post, but I can't find one. I'll see if I can't get Kris or Allen to send me one, or maybe I'll try to find a scanner.

I would like to thank M.E.U.K. for giving me a chance to win this knife. It is the nicest thing I've ever won. Look for a review in the near future.

Hello Mr.Paul Davidson & members,

Thanks for the Kind words again , I am Sure you will like the Talonite material, I have to say from Grinding a bunch of it that I am Impressed with this Alloy and its Abilitys.

I know the M.E.U.K - 1 Drop point I am going to be making for myself will be my Daily Carry knife.

KRIS I know has a bunch of the Fathers of his Classmates that Hunt that are Really Excited about getting a Pretty much Care free
Blade for Hunting, and general Utility use.

And i would Like to THANK Mr.ROB SIMONICH
for Being such a great Person and Maker to deal with and for Bringing TALONITE into the Public eye. Thanks ROB!!

Again Mr Davidson thanks for the kind words and i look forward to seeing your Post
on your Thoughts and the performance of the MEUK-1 when you post a Review.

Thanks and Take Care,

Paul, where the knife is ground from the back to the real thin part, that's the sharp side, and it can really hurt, so keep it away from all fingers and other soft parts of the body, and don't go running with it either!

Oh and Congrats to you! When you recover from your nasty cold, please do that review.

I do have a problem with "insider" stuff.
Someone want to tell me about "MEUK" ?
Like : who makes it etc.
Sorry...just cannot read every thread on every forum.

BTW, MDP.....your graphics are not working on my server

Brian, MEUK is a brand new company. The knife they are all talking about was (I believe) the first ever produced. Probably why you haven't heard of them.

I don't really know much more than that, others can fill you in on the details.

I can't get it to load either.

Thanks Eye, I've been trying to get set up at Photopoint but for some reason have been having problems getting replies back. I'm really very happy with the knife. I haven't been able to use it much or test it as I've been under the weather lately. The handle is incredibly comfortable though. You can see from the grain in the micarta where the handle swells on the sides and at the butt and guard. The center of balance is right where the forefinger goes too. It's the best thing I've ever won and a bargain at what Kris is asking for them.
