Hey there everyone, I'm not a Beckerhead but I was just visiting my sister for Thanksgiving and her boyfriend has a BK-9 that he keeps in his truck as part of a survival kit and everything. He's a really cool guy, didn't even know he had it until we got started talking about knives.
Anyway, it was a lot nicer than I had thought it would be in hand than from seeing pictures of it. The blade is much thinner than I expected, much lighter than I thought, and the width of the blade was quite impressive in person. The handle was also A LOT nicer and more comfortable in hand than it looked.
I still can't see myself ever really needing a BK-9 for anything though. I have a Buck 119 and it's the biggest knife I own, and I basically never use it. But I kinda of want to check out something from the Becker line that I might like and have more use for. Been wanting to get a BK-14 for a while since I love my Izula. The BK-2 looks pretty cool, but as I have barely any use for the Buck 119 I doubt I would ever really need it AND it's 1/4" blade
Anyway, just thought I'd post about that. It's a lot different actually getting to hold and see a blade in hand than juts seeing pictures of it.
