I got to take a drive up to Titusville PA, to check out the Great Eastern Cutlery factory yesterday. The Titusville are is full of PA oil production history, just a cool place to check out. I guess the building that GEC is in used to be one of the buildings used by Cyclops specialty steel. When you go in the front door, the assembly floor is visible from above. I got to check out the showroom, and see some patterns and handle materials up close. The prices in the showroom are about equivalent to the online retailers, but there is not really a big selection. I picked up a harness jack and a muskrat. Chris, the sales rep, is very friendly. Very worth the trip! Queen/S&M factory is there too, but they don't have a store.

As you rightly said it used to be part of the Cyclops Steel buildings, I was told by GEC's Salesman that it used to be the their Metallurgy dept, a very useful building the way GEC have it layed out, I took a visit during last month, nice to see these factories in operation.
