I picked up a new Camillus Daddy Barlow yesterday while moving my sister-in law out of town. I walked into a surplus shop in between appointments and spotted a red Camillus box with about 4 of these Daddys brand new in the plastic, in the box that appeared to be about 30 years old! I bought this one and I am pretty happy with this "new" old guy. Stamped "Camillus New York USA" and a number 9 on the back.
I didn't have time to look more but I think they also had a box of "brand new" Camillus Barlows with a coping main and pen blade. I am stopping by again on Friday to see what else I can find!
I might be able to pick a couple more up if someone is interested. Just pm me before mid-morning tomorrow and I will do my best. I don't want to get into all that on this thread so just pm me!
So has anyone else found neat groupings of knives like that? I might expect to see this at a knife show where someone bought up a box or two many years ago but to find it in a surplus store was a bit of a surprise and they were priced as working knives not as collectibles.
