I guess I can resist anything but temptation.

So I was cruising the Buck website web specials page, and the special Alpha folder with the deer cutout and fake ivory scales really looked interesting. Well, after about an hour of doing other stuff, I decided to go back and order it.

Gone!

I was too slow! :grumpy:

Anyway, not to be outdone, I went ahead and ordered a Sirus with the eagle on it. They were more than half off the knifeworks price, so temptation got the better of me.

But next time, I'll remember my lesson on hesitation.

That's a shame. I bought one awhile back and it's really a nice one. The Sirus is a great knife too, you won't be disappointed.

Yeah, I know by the time I convince my wife that the world will end unless I have that giraffe 532 it'll be gone.

Joe-Bob,

Ditto what Dave said...its a nice knife. Maybe one of these guys with more than one in their collection will sell you one.

My Eagle graphic Sirus came in today. It's a nice knife. The safety lock is a little awkward, and really should work to lock the knife open as well as closed.

Although.....the liner-lock is amazingly hard to disengage, so maybe that part isn't necessary.

The blade is surprisingly sharp, and the swedge grinds are nice and even; the blade is almost centered when closed. For $30 this is a good knife, but I can't imagine they sell very well for more than 2x that.

Edit to add: The knife is very much easier to open using the tang extension that the thumb stud. I'm not a mathemagician, but it probably has to do with the positioning.

Joe Bob,

With more time on the knife you will not even think about the back lock...it will become second nature.

Well, one thing I've noticed is that the safety lock is nearly impossible to unlock with one hand. At least on my knife. Seems kinda counterproductive. YMMV

I have a well used sirus and a new rush. The rush is hard to unlock and the sirus is very easy. I am sure it will break in. I have had my sirus apart and know how the knife operates.
