I like clip blades, long pulls, and cocobolo. Though technically the 62 Maverick is kingwood...

Top to bottom: GEC 06 Pemberton, 66 Calf Roper, 15 Huckleberry, and the 62 Maverick.

Most pocketable, obviously, is the Pemberton. My favorite from an "emotional" point of view is the Huckleberry. The Calf Roper is a heck of a knife but I hardly ever carry it. It feels like a fistful of blades in my hand when I use it. The one knife that I consider the "sleeper" of the GEC line is the 62. I absolutely love this knife. Maybe because not many others do. It's like the black sheep of the family. It was released right before the Outlaw Jack, and I think enthusiasts were waiting for that knife and perhaps the Maverick left them cold. But nothing cuts better than the super thin sheepsfoot/wharncliffe blade of the Maverick. At least in my small arsenal of EDC.

Any common themes in your knife selection?

Same family, close enough! I like the 62 very much as well (did I sell you that one?)

Some common things I like are steel construction, long pulls, swedges, bone/wood/stag, half-stops, and multiblades with variance in blade profiles.

I guess you have good taste. But there's something missing, a Cocobolo Outlaw Jack :D

I agree with the sheepsfoot on the Maverick, it is incredibly thin. I really should use it more, I just wish it had one slightly longer blade (but that's just not feasible with that design I guess).

There really isn't a common theme in my bunch of knives, I like the variety.

The Maverick was a gift from my wife. She knows the way to my heart is with knives. Wait...that didn't come out right...

Glad I'm not alone in liking the Maverick!

Looks like you have some fine knives there, congrats! That Huckleberry keeps calling my name, as do the boys knives. You might push me over the edge:D

You will not regret it. I have a #15 Huckleberry Boys knife, Clip and pen, ebony wood that I've had for a month or two (I do not remember exact time frames well) and I've been loving it. The springs aren't that tight (it was my first GEC slippy, and I've only had one more since so not much frame of reference for me), a bit tighter initially but not bad at all. Certainly not a nailbreaker (chewed up my nail a wee bit, but I blame that more on working nights. I swear the lack of sunlight and it's vitamin D leads to softer fingernails). Now it's smooth as silk. \Smooth, but not loose, still very firm, solid. Lovely design, and I'm surprised by how often I find myself going for the pen blade. \I'm loving my new Bullnose, deeply in love with sodbusters now but while the soddie might get EDCed now, it is in addition to, not in place of, my #15.

I have very definite likes also. Still fairly new to traditionals but my favorites by far are single blade huge size pieces like my Grandad Barlow, Clasp knives too.
