Hello, my name is Justin, and I am a Kershawholic. I have been lurking around the FS/FT sections for awhile now (shameful, i know), but I figured it was time to come forward and embrace the only community that understands my addiction. There seem to be some great members here, and seeing actual Kershaw employees posting as well is very impressive. As my username states, I am all about the orange and currently have almost everything Kershaw offers in that category. My current collection includes:

Blur: 1670BOR
DWO: 3000OR
OD-1: 1775OR
Packrat: 1665OR
Scamp: 2710 (Kryptoglow Scale)
Skyline: 1760OR
SpeedBump: 1595ALOR
Tyrade: 1850OR
Zing: 1735OR
Zero Tolerance: 0550 (Monkey Edge Frag Scale)

I am reasonably sure that the only one I am missing is a Snap-On Chubby, model 1440. I look forward to hanging out with you guys. At least, in this group, I can feel normal while owning $800+ worth of knives! :p

Welcome! You've got a nice collection and I'm jealous over that orange Tyrade! The orange Blur is one of my favorites and I've been trying to find a Tyrade and orange Alox SAK to go with it. Do you have the whole orange EDC kit with an orange card holder/wallet thing and an orange SEIKO monster watch? You have great taste!

The Tyrade is what really started the hunt for me. I lost the SOG Trident that I had been carrying for 3 years and wanted another large folder to replace it. I found pics of the Tyrade online and immediately knew it was something special but couldn't find it for sale anywhere. While trying to track one down, I found the orange Blur and bought it. It was my first Kershaw and is certainly a great representative. I immediately knew I had to have more of these knives. Once I found out that there were several other models made in limited orange runs, I was hooked. Now that I am close to having them all, I really hope Kershaw/ZT makes some new versions! My dream knife would be an assisted opening ZT 056X with orange scales and a tiger stripe blade. That would be something I couldn't resist at any price. :greedy_dollars:
 
Welcome to the other part of the forum (where we talk about the Kershaws and ZT's we bought in the FS/FT).

And there is one other knife you are missing besides the 1440. The fixed blade skyline 1084 with blaze handle.

Welcome solidorange! I too felt the way you did, lurked around until I finally got the courage to make my first post! Can't wait to see your orange collection!
 
hey isn't there an orange bear hunter and antelope hunter also?
 
i actually haven't gotten any of the fixed blades yet. i guess that will have to be my next endeavor. in addition to the ones already posted, there is also the antelope hunter II (1028OR):

Luckily the fixed blades are a lot cheaper than the others you already found. When do we get to see the pics?

will get them up as soon as my 0550 arrives, should be sometime next week. i don't want to leave that beauty out of the collection pics. i was originally waiting to introduce myself until i got the 1440 as well, so that i could post them all at once, but y'all just made it look like too much fun to post around here. :D

random question for everyone else, since this seems like the place to ask. has kershaw really never made an orange scallion/chive/leek? with all the different colors those 3 come in, i was surprised to find that they were not offered in orange.

Welcome! Thanks for the great pic! I love theme collections (different models in one color like yours, different versions of a certain model); your orange collection is very cool. Is that a Kershaw dealer display case? I have always wanted to get one of those (especially one with the lower locking cabinet included), but every time I save up the money to get one, I wind up with more knives instead, lol!

yep, it is a kershaw dealer case. i had been looking for a nice way to show them all off, found the case for $35, and knew it was the perfect way to display a kershaw collection. the locking door is cool, but you certainly can't take pictures through it, lol. as i said earlier, there will be much better pictures posted as soon as my ZT 0550 arrives. i snapped that first one with my cell phone in pretty bad lighting, i am surprised it turned out as well as it did.


on a side note, you all are a bad influence! look what you made me do! :cool:
