Back in September of '21 I picked this ball peen hammer up for $1 at a yard sale.

I didn't see any markings, but it had a nice thin handle so I assumed it was an older probably decent hammer.
I got it home, cleaned it up and got the handle tightened up and put it to use.
I never found any markings, but it's been a great hammer as I assumed it would be.
I oiled a bunch of my hammer handles the other day and this morning I was cleaning off all the sticky dried BLO from the heads.
I was dealing with this one when I noticed something I hadn't seen before.
I took it out in some bright sunlight and there it was.

It turns out the head is marked and it's a Stanley Sweetheart, I think I'm seeing the number 36 too.
I also realized that I rehung it upside down, but I'm not going to bother flipping it over.
no it's not anything particularly special, but I just brought it home assuming everything about it based entirely on the handle and my instincts turned out to be right.
It proved to be a good quality hammer and eventually turned out to be a decent make too.
