I guess the Benchmade forum upgrade went splat...

The Benchmade forum has been down for like 3 days.

I guess their "upgrade" didn't go as planned.

Anyone else here from there?

Yup...I also noticed that KnifeForums is all messed-up, too. :rolleyes:

I'm saying that some people don't go all the way in to find the new forum note.

I still think the home page should change or something :)

Got the URL, but it's slow as S^&# ! I hope Jim fixes it. It has some nice stuff and good people. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I got the same message.

I had the system email me a new password. Nothing yet.
 
I tried to login but it won't accept my username, or password.:confused:

Plus is sooooooooooooooo sloooooooooooooooooow loading!!:(
 
I got the same thing from knifeforums, check the I forgot my password and a new one will be emailed to the address in your profile there. Thats how I got back on. Kind of wierd because my password worked at the old site but not on the new one.
 
Well I really like the new Knifeforums site.

I however still cannot believe that this is the 4th day of downtime for the Benchmadeforums.

If they couldn't get it back up in 1 day they should have restored from backup.....and reworked the plan.

I'm in the IT field that we have to do that regularly.

I know that the forums are not important in the grand scheme of things but I can tell you that you must always have a backup plan. :)
 
I just NOW checked, and the Benchmade Forum is still down.:(.

As far as KnifeForums goes, it still wouldn't accept me (glockman99) or my password last night, so I re-registered under my real name (Dann Fassnacht), so I guess I'm now a newbee there...LOL... :p

The exact same thing for me.
 
my first attempt to get my new password from kf.com failed....however it worked fine today. i would try again
 
Yeah for it to work for me, I had to put my password in caps. Dunno why, or how it occured to me to do that, but it worked! :p

I've done that several times, plus contacting them directly to explain the problem. No answer, been trying since the 9th.

I have no problem logging on the old site either, just can't get on the new one, nor can I get any help from the admin there.
 
I can't comment on Benchmade.

Dropped by KF though, even more ads then before! Yeesh, why are they trying to kill the site? (IMO)

Same here. I cannot log in, My user name is in use (by me), and so far my email request for a password reset, and my email to the forum's administrator have received no reply.

Too bad. Something has gone very wrong with that upgrade, and, I can't even browse the site to find out what is going on.
