I guess ...

I guess I'll give it a try ... just carry one ... for a couple weeks maybe three ...

I notice that even though I always have a Buck 110 or Old Timer 7OT on my belt (unless I'm carrying one of my two blade slipjoint folding hunters) 100% of the time I need a knife, I reach in my pocket, not for whatever is on my belt.
I am almost sure I don't really "need" the one on my belt ... other than maybe mentally from 50 plus year's force of habit ..
I'm not doing heavy use knife tasks anymore, and I'm not using it anyway ...

I think I'll go to a (two blade) Barlow.

My Rough Ryder RR2040 "Classic Carbon" Barlow should do the trick ... I think ... View attachment 1573026

I think you'll do okay with that plan considering your situation. I carry my Buck 112 in my pocket for similar reasons but I wouldn't want to try that with a 110 unless it was one of the lightweight models.

I hate ambiguous click-bait thread titles ... I guess
Good luck with your new routine :)

It's easy to put a knife you like in your pocket and just keep it there a while, a bit too easy for me though.
I always get conflicted between the carefree simplicity of just sticking to one and also wanting to get use out of others.

I force myself to carry just one. And I can never remember a time when I positively couldn’t get something done because I was limited to just the one knife. That little RR is a bit more capable than it looks!

That last sentence took the words right out of my mouth. I can relate to that like nobody's business. Been struggling with that for over a decade. There's a lot to be said about having a constant companion. On the other hand, it's a shame to have all these knives and only ever use one of them.

Lol, this is a tough one, just like a thread asking to pick your one favorite :D

Best wishes my friend. I think you'll like it once adjusted to what you actually use. Keep us posted. :)

Same boat for me till I began a compromise by carrying one EDC and one I change as desired. Works for me!

I do that sometimes with a belt knife ( which may be one of my bigger folders ) and swap pocket knives, but gotta usually do just one pocket knife so I really use it.

I usually just give each knife a week, but latemy schedule has been crazy and I can't keep track.
The past few months I just carry till I feel like a change, may be a few days or couple weeks.

My guess is that you probably have a fair bunch of knives that you do want to carry and not keep them as Safe Queens . If you really only want to carry One Knife , then more power to you my friend .

Well ... that lasted a long time... less than 86,400 seconds. :(
I found my AWOL faux West German Cold War era Bundeswher a couple of 3600 seconds ago, so added it to my pocket.
I've been wanting to carry it for about a month now.
I located a couple branches today that need trimmed. The saw should work "perfect" for that task. Better than a knife blade, at any rate.
The Barlow is still in my pocket.
