I had a good day in the mail today!

Started with the delivery of my two khukuris that javand hooked me up with!


So stoked to have these! I haven't had my own before and both of them are just amazing to hold. They remind me a lot of my grandfather's from WWII that he got from the Gurkha.

Then I got the rest of these in other packages! (The TBMT I got over the weekend from SpolaR, but had to include it)


The Bone Collector I just absolutely needed. I have a thing for skulls and the Walnut just looked absolutely amazing.

I wanted a digi-camo knife of some sort, and figured the PM2 was the perfect knife to get it with!

I absolutely couldn't put off getting a 0560 any longer seeing everyone post pics of theirs with amazing reviews, and OMFG am I happy to have it! It is an absolute dream to hold. I have a feeling I'll be flipping it all day every day. It's making me want the 0777 to come out faster

The BK2 was absolutely necessary as I have no other beefy workhorse knife besides my Gerber LMII. As much as I've seen videos of the Gerber taking some abuse and getting the job done, I don't think it'll handle what the BK2 can. Seeing everyone's action shots and videos of what this knife can do sold me on how absolutely versatile it can be in almost any situation. I threw together a quick lanyard with 550 paracord and put it on just to see how it looks. I'll probably make a more useful one as a permanent lanyard to get that solid lower grip for hacking away.

And the TBMT I wanted just because I have no neck knife and it's a pretty cool looking blade. Yes, I do love The Hunted

Good day indeed I have been messing around with all of them just getting used to the grips, how they open and lock, how they unlock. Just all wonderful pieces of work.

Very good day,congradulations!I have a question and a suggestion,the Tom Brown tracker seems small and i was wondering if that shape in a small size is worth it?I have a large tracker and its definatly worth it,however a kukri of the same weight will beat it in chopping.My suggestion was to make a kydex sheath for those kukris(unless you really prefer the traditional look),im going to make a kydex sheath for mine tomorrow morning and ill post some pictures as to how it turns out because its a 20 inch kuk with a 13-14 inch blade and almost half inch thick,I think kydex is better for a kukri because it'll be quicker to pull it out as well as you can add several attachments to the sheath(im adding a pouch and several attachments for leg/back of my belt).

The tracker 4 is pretty small. For my hands, it's a pretty small fit but snug enough to put my thumb behind the blade and do some small work. And for getting stuff done, it definitely won't handle much. It's a good odds-and-ends blade which is why I figured I'd get it as a neck knife (the previous owner also used it as a neck knife). If you're in a pinch and need to cut some rope, or a small plant or something, you can just use that and not have to break out a big boy. Here's a video where someone uses it to do some basic tasks:

The larger one is totally awesome looking, but most people suggest that if you're going with the larger Tracker, you might as well get something that can do more (especially considering the pricepoint - you can get a couple really solid Becker blades for the price of one Tracker). If I ever came across a good deal for a larger Tracker would I take it? Sure! But I'm pretty sure the BK2 will trump it in just about any situation. A lot of people say it's more of a gimmick blade, but I think it's a decent knife as long as you use it within its limits.

I've never worked with Kydex before or made a sheath of any kind. Might be an interesting project to try and make one. I'd love to see pictures of the process you go through to make yours Nothing beats making custom stuff for your gear so you can have exactly what you want!

I just got done with making a kydex sheath for a neck knife (buck paclite large skinner) im wearing it as i type this and i gotta admit,a larger neck knife is nice,my first kydex sheath also and i think it turned out nice,definatly wont lose the knife.As for bk2 vs tom browns...bk2 will win in any category(at least to me),heat treat is amazing,the size is perfect for most tasks and i've seen pictures on this forum of the abuse 1 bk2 took and is still going strong.The kydex sheath for a kukri is going to be tricky,but i got an idea off a sheathmaker on google,i think i can pull it off,and you are right about being able to customize your gear just to fit you perfectly.
