I saw these at a local truck stop and I was very shocked because I've never seen a fake Strider in person before. Ridiculous that people in my town sell these things.

I wouldnt call that a fake or counterfeit. It has none of the features of a real strider except for the shape and hole in the blade. But materials, finishes and logos are all different. In other words since there are so many changes that the knives in question would never be confused with a real one under normal circumstances then they really dont violate much.

Nobody would even think those are real anyway and besides they probably sell for about twenty bucks.

I don't think there's any overlap between the type of person who'd want this and the type of person who'd want a real Strider.

They sell them because people will buy them... ;)

They sell knives like those at my local corner store/truck stop out here in the country. I've seen some at gas stations and head shops. All places where knife people know not to but knives.

$12 pieces not marked or advertised as the real deal is no biggie IMO. Farm hands, migrant workers and truckers use them till they are dull and toss them.
