Ever since I bought this thing, it's so freaking nice, I don't feel like buying any other knives.

That is a mixed blessing.

Mine continues to grow on me, a week after receiving it (unexpectedly) in the mail, as a gift from my brother. It, too , has reduced my thoughts on other knife purchases.

The Para filled a big gap for me. I've also been enjoying the UK Penknife, sans lock.

When the Caly III arrives, I may achieve Nirvana.

Didn't slow me down a bit:D I just wanted more Spydies after I got mine - IIRC, it was about Spydie #4 or so. I think I'm at around 20'ish now.......

Found the same thing, you look at the other ones, like sebbies or striders and you just don't care.

The PE Para with the BC coat was going to be my perfect knife...until I found it didn't fit my hand at all. Oh well. So very close.

Guess I gotta buy some more.

The Para has been my EDC for several months now. I love it!!

My ParaMilitary was not complete until I used a Dremel drill to grind a small choil at the base of the blade to aid in sharpening. (It prevents the stone from running up against the kicker.)

Of course, since I have only one, and it's a hundred dollar knife, I have not been EDC'ing it... :(

The Paramilitary was my first choice but I finally settled on an Ocelot. I love the old-style lockback and VG-10 steel. The designer G10 scales sealed the deal. It'll be an EDC.

I absolutly love my Paramilitary, and it was my first Spydie too. The only thing that bothers me about it is that the tip is bent, and it came that way:grumpy: The bent is really quite slight, I didn't notice it until the first time I sharpened it and the bend made sharpening really hard.

Yep, the more I carry mine, the more I like it. And a lot of other knives that I was really anxious to get can wait for now.

the para was my first spyderco , loved it so much i bought three more and gave two more away as gifts. now i am an an endura and delica 4 kick. now i want the wave also.

Have you contacted warantee and repair? I always try to let Spyderco make good on a problem before I gripe about it on the forums?

Actually, yes! The blade with the bent tip is actually a replacement blade that Spyderco put on the Para for me when I sent the original in with chipping problems. My Para was returned with a new blade, but the repair guy actually forgot to reinstall one of the scale screws. I was kinda bummed (especially since it took a month, and I paid the $25 repair fee), but a call to Amanda (sweet lady) got me a few scale screws and a new clip shipped right out though. I have had great customer service from Spyderco, but can't seem to get a Para without any prolbems. Even though I have had a few problems with my Para, it has still become my favorite EDC:thumbup: I have bought several other knives since my Para, but I don't feel right unless I have it clipped in my RF pocket:cool:
I love my Para so much, I decided to just live with the bent tip because I can't imagine going another month without it. It will probally eventually sharpen evenly.
