I hate paracord

Unless I was trying to waste my night in urgent care before I have to get up for work again tomorrow.. Because if that was it, I did it perfect

First rule of knife: Do not hold by the blade.
Second rule of knife: Obey the first rule!

Ouch, hope your hand heals up nicely 👍
The reason I hate paracord wraps is the fact that you widen the handle, I like the spine of my knife to be flush all the way down ( with the exception of guards ...ect )
It can be fine if your tang is lower than the spine so the wrap becomes flush, but only if you wrap over leather strips to create the proper dimensions.
Another problem with wrapping a knife like the izula is the fact that you decrease your finger choir and which is what caused your accident.

I'm still laughing out loud at that one.....hahaha, and it continues

but I'm not laughing at OP, that looks nasty, but OMG, that ^^was funny.

I almost always cut myself with new knives, it's kind of a thing. I actually had stropped my Hinderer XM-18 last night, and today was bragging to my buddy at lunch about how sharp it was. He asked me if I ever cut myself with my knives and I said, "yeah, all the time". Then a few minutes later I was going on about the knife again, whipped it out of my pocket while we were still eating our respective club sandwiches, and offered to show him just how shaving sharp it was on my lower leg. I went to shave a little hair off and it just dug right on into my epidermis and left a nice slash which proceeded to bleed, mildly, and sting, but I just laughed it off as I always do. So, yeah, it's not just YOU bud that gets "bitten". I call them "love bites" and they are endearing. Kind of a rite of passage to ownership I think. I have been known to get a new knife in and just go ahead and cut myself to get it out of the way. I know, that's weird, but it's true.

Hope you heal up quickly. Keep it clean and dry and you should be fine.

knife wrapped in rag, clamped in vise goes a long way.. man that sucks though wish ya fast healing.

Damn that's a nasty cut. Keep it clean, disinfected and doctored. Rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, and triple antibiotic are my generic goto's to accelerate wound healing.

(perfectly) :D

While we are at it: (because, if that was it, I did it perfectly) :D:D BF Grammar Patrol in Full Effect. No wait...is it, Effect or Affect? lol <---Get to work!

Seriously, that is a nasty slice! I wrapped mine with the plastic sheath protecting me!

Nah, can't glue a cut like that unless you do some digging in there and make sure the tendon didn't get nicked. If digging around in your own finger is something you're not up to, best go to the ER. You don't want to have that tendon let go later or they'll have to slice clear up your arm to find it after it snaps up like a bungee cord. I wouldn't recommend DIY'ing an injury like that, just to be safe. Without sterile instruments to go digging with your chances of developing an infection would be pretty high also.

Paracord wrap looks cool though!

If it's a clean cut from a clean knife alcohol and peroxide will hinder the healing. Maybe flush with saline solution. It sucks when you gotta be at work in four hours and the old lady wants to send you to the ER. But everyone knows what's best for them.

Don't look like you got any blood on the paracord. Too bad. Ha! Just joking! Hope you all good now with the wound. That was nasty.
