I hate those floating arrows

In general the new software is working very well for me, but I really hate those floating arrow buttons to take you to the top or bottom of the page. That's not something we're ever likely to have any use for (it's not hard to get to the top or bottom of a page without them), and they obscure things, as shown here obscuring the sebenza in Lone_Wolfe's sig:

I noticed if I change back to the Xenforo default style that gets rid of the durn things, but Flat Awesome seems to be good in other ways. Is there any way we could have Flat Awesome without the stoopid floating arrows?

ive used them on mobile and im good with them arrows.

as for your inbox, you will have to start deleting old messages, but an admin might give you some different advice. but thats what i would do.

LOL my bad, i was reading the picture you posted as a question, sorry man.

TBO the arrow that shows up for quotes, directs you to that quote above (or on a prior page). its very useful. it doesnt mean it scrolls up to the top of the page.

The blue arrows at the bottom right are a huge plus when dealing with long threads or scrolling issues.

Sorry Cougar: I like them. :) It saves me finding the 'home' or 'end' on my keyboard. On fixed width they are off to the side.

Okay, if it's just me I'll just have to avoid Flat Awesome. I really hate those things.

They are now enabled

On the arrows. I could have sworn the down arrow moved to the first unread post when I started using the new software. I thought "how cool is this?". It doesn't seem to do that now. Was I just hallucinating?

Clicking the link for the thread in the threads listing in each forum takes you to the first unread post. Or you can click on the button that says "go to first unread"

Sorry I was using the wrong term. I use the functionality you speak to regularly and it works great.

I was speaking of the main sub-forum page. After reading the posts in a thread I refresh the page from the bottom link. It takes me back to the top of the home page and I scroll down from there to the next thread with unread posts. It can end up being a lot of scrolling, as I read every new post in every thread multiple times during the day.

It seems like when I first started using the software that using the down arrow on the main page, would result in a scroll to the first thread with unread posts. I may be mistaken but I don't think so. Maybe it was entirely coincidental, but again I don't think so. Anyway, just wondering if that kind of functionality is/was available/selectable. It was a time saver for me.

Thanks for responding, Spark. As I use and learn more I'm liking many new things a lot. Of course it's a work in progress. I hope we all understand and remember that.

Well THIS is new to me. It used to be that the thread title would start right at the OP's first post. I've been clicking the far right 'last post time' to get to the last thread and backing up if I didn't read them.

Terrific!
