Sent my cqc 13 off to get pimped by Reese weiland
what can fill my void till I get it back and how do you guys control urges to send everything you have to get customized lol I feel like I need a fix and I won't be satisfied.
We knifers need a recovery program lol

Work and family keeps me busy enough. I don't see the point in having a nervous breakdown in waiting. Life is about waiting, the older one gets the more patience you learn (hopefully). More reallyyoung people these days want instant gratification, they want the reward before any work is done, really rather sad in my view.

I think its just because I save up all my pennies to get something like this done which are hard to come by being a young parent and husband. But I have a great wife that lets me have a little bit of blade money here and there when we have some just super excited is all.

Pleasure is divided into three phases: anticipation, realization, and remembrance. So you just need to change your perspective a bit and realize that the waiting/anticipation is part of the pleasure. With some women I have known, it was the best part.

did it just get philosophical in here?? lol, I like the wait, builds anticipation! as for a burning desire to send knives off to get pimped, I don't have that, I am trying to get into that art myself, so rather than that I am waiting on supplies. checking the mail every day for my new handle materials and paracord and whatnot. principals still the same though ;P

So much wisdom in such few words...well put!

I've never had the desire to send a knife for modifications. There are so many different styles of quality knives these days, I just do the research and locate what fits my needs. Of course I do modify the edge geometry and sharpness myself, to the use the knife will be put to.

No help here on knife waits other than the psychology I use on myself. :D.

I have two somewhere along the process of being done that will be an 11 year wait so a few months is nothing. Have others now that I have waited as long as 5 to 7 years to be made.

I look at it like this. I have knives; I can use them until next one shows up no matter how long it takes, so the only thing I am lacking is a knife. Since I already have other knives it is no big deal ;) If I hang on to that, the length of time does not bother me at all.

Very true guys thanks. I don't think there is a ti folding Bowie that I have found lol so I'm super excited to see a grail of mine.
