After seeing so much of everyone's Kydex work, I've ended up spending about $75 for eyelets, eyelet setter, .080 Kydex, and things like foam and wood for a press
I did have some of the stuff here, so it isn't as expensive as it could be, but I've learned that being on this Forum is hard on the bank account...
:P

Hopefully I can get a decent looking sheath going without too much trouble, and thank you to everyone who has posted their Kydex work! It's yall that have motivated me to try it myself!
I'll be sure to post pics when it's done
:)

$75? What does that buy you two kydex sheaths? I want to start getting into making kydex sheaths as well for all the knives and tools I have. I'm sure it would cost far more for me to get into kydex making. But with the cost of sheaths, it would likely be worth it.

It got me a 12x12 sheet of .080 Kydex from Knife Kits, so hopefully I can make more than one sheath from it!
:)

TheAzn? repeat after me...." I am (state your name here) and I am kydex addicted."

We will respond with..."Welcome, TheAzn...":D

Thanks!

I'm going to go pickup a small arbor press and a real drill press shortly, and then I can hopefully get started on my first sheath!

Look at it as a long-term thing. I mean, a night out will easily set you back 100USD, but that same Benjamin will give you hours and hours to spend on your hobby; which will also leave you with a product which will last for several decades if cared for.

I paid about 350 dollars to get my tools - and have made WELL over that money back in selling sheaths. I trade often for steel and other things.

I can see that working as long as I can make a decent sheath
:p

I picked up a half ton press for $25 at harbor freight, and I should be getting a drill press soon!
I'm pretty excited to get started! I'm going to try making a basic sheath first, and then I want to try an idea that I have for my CS Rifleman's Hawk
