This was actually my first nice knife. I bought it in college about 25 years ago. I don't carry it much anymore, but you can see by the scratches on the blade that it is a user. I'd like to send it back to Spyderco to be refurbished, but I'm wondering if they can make it look like new? Anyway if anybody has any information on this knife, it's worth, or rarity, I would sure appreciate it.

I always struggle with pics from photobucket, etc, so I just included some links to my dropbox.

Thanks guys.

Oh , these are the early Gin2 models. Nice and rare. Not a good steel compared to VG-10 but it does good. I can't tell from the pics , but yours appears to have a one piece backspaced and lacks a boye dent. Hope it helps. Regarding price , I've seen one with a broken tip sell for $85

It's a nice old knife, but better than 98% of Harpies made over its almost 30 years of production have been the serrated version so it's not at all rare. Whether they could make it look new again will depend on the depth of the scratches on the blade and handle, but Spyderco can certainly improve its looks.
